Unidare Cup Last 16
Kilmount Boys 2 - 3 RVR FT
They're at it again. Not content with just getting a win, Paul Kelly's side are making a habit of it and came back from 2 goals down at half time to move into the Quarter Final of the Unidare Cup out in Kilbarrack tonight. The lads went one down after 15 minutes when Kilmount got the break with an offside call that didn't come. IOC between the sticks pulled off a great save but the 2nd forward was on hand to tap home. One nil became two on 30 minutes after some sloppy work at the back. The scoreline in fairness didn't do us justice though and we could've been level before the break if we'd taken a couple of the chances we created.
Into the 2nd half and Glynn pokes a ball through to Jonny who takes it round the keeper to pull one back 5 minutes in. Jonny then turns provider, feeding Keith who slots home under the keeper to get us level. The chances are flowing now. Keith hits the bar, Kev hits both posts with a header and the keeper turns a Jimmy free kick over the bar. But with 5 minutes to go and extra time looming, Jimmy picked the ball out wide right. He cut inside and curled a shot/cross (I don't care what it was) into the top far corner.
Fabulous never-say-die spirit yet again from the lads but no time to celebrate - last league game of the season is Friday night in the AUL against Hadleigh Pines - Kick Off 7pm.
