Can we do it on a cold Friday night in Westmanstown? You bet we can. The game started at a frenzied pace with both teams pressing and not giving an inch until the 22nd minute when Conor Dowd opened the legs down the right. He got to the by line and whipped in a great ball for Dano Murphy to prod home. Lead didn't last long with Craig O'Brien replying for the home side. As HT approached, Dano bagged his 2nd with a lovely shimmy to create a yard of space and bent it home from 18 yards. He wasn't finished there and the hatrick was complete minutes later when he tapped in a fumble from their keeper after a Ciaran Lattin daisy cutter. 2nd half was more the same, with plenty of tackles and good football on show. Mo Corr pulled them back into the game on 70 mins. We had the chance to seal it at the death when Rasher was sent through but we'll leave it there 🙈.
