A tough start to the campaign with a 10am KO away to a very disciplined Maynooth team.  RVR seemed to sleep for the 1st five minutes but woke up after conceding a goal.  It was end to end action throughout, however the new rule (retreat line) which didn't physically exist on the pitch caused so much confusion and although we picked up a goal the confusion led to conceding another.  Goals from Cillian Ryan and Niall Rossiter weren't enough as we conceded a third towards the final whistle. The refeee nominated Bruno Matoshi as his man of the match, another great performance in goal.
